Google Maps has now added biking routes in the US. The feature differentiates better roads for biking, and bike routes without motor vehicles. It even tries to avoid steep slopes!

I can’t wait until the feature reaches the UK. I’ll be getting a bike then for sure. I also live in the vein hope that they will add motorcycle specific routes eventually too.
